Welcome to Ads Import Tools Manual!

Ads Import Tools is a plug-in to Rapid Classified v3.2 which allows a bulk ads (or ads+user accounts) upload into database from a manually created list. The list would have to be prepared in MS Excel application and then converted into MS Access because the actual data Import is always conducted from MS Access database.

Import does not have any methods of a separate payment procedure. You would need to negotiate the price with the client or set the fixed price and be able to accept payments for the import. You may use a payment form at the existed advertise.asp page and direct your client to make payments through this form.

Here is a general Import Procedure:

• Client downloads a blank template and fills it with ads data.
• Client sends prepared template to RC Administrator.
• If there will be images attached to ads, client sends them packed into a .zip file along with template.
• RC Administrator compiles the template into MS Access.
• If images are attached, RC Administrator additionally processes images and MS Access database with the Desktop Import tools.
• RC Administrator uploads MS Access database and images for current import into RC location at web server.
• RC Administrator runs Import script against uploaded MS Access database so that ads data imported from Import database into the database RC is configured to run with.

Before you begin installation and the first ads import, make sure you have finished developing categories structure and optional fields. This is a general requirement to any classified installation even without Import tools installed. But since you would be uploading hundreds of ads at a time this requirement becomes even more critical.
